Dr Samuel Sarpong, Former Ashanti Regional Minister in the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama’s administration stands as the brand Ambassador of the golden stool in Ashanti kingdom.
The unmatched Politician was heard loud on 30th April,2023 during the first Akwasidae of the month (a historic festival marked by the overlord of Asante) in the presence of the 2024 possible President of the Republic,His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, that there’s only one Golden Stool in Ghana and it’s no other than the one The King Of Asante is occupying.
According to him ,nobody should make mistake ever comparing the golden stool to other smaller stools in the Country.
With Otumfuo’s indulgence,the affable political Messiah is much focused to trumpet the good message of the golden stool towards the development of Ghana as a Country.
He revealed that, Otumfuo used his influence in the foreign Countries when former President John Dramani Mahama needed assistance from the foreign Countries to reshape the image of Ghana as a developing Country.
This he said was unprecedented because the move was successful with Otumfuo’s intervention.
Dr Samuel Sarpong, a onetime Kumasi mayor who facilitated for the construction of the redevelopment of the Kumasi-Kajetia market however advised Media practitioners in the Country to desist from the act of comparing other stools to that of the Asante King because it is unique and has it own history.
