Elder Akwasi Aduonum Goes On Retirement After 27 Years Of Service At PIWC

Retirement service has been held in honour of Elder Akwasi Aduonum ,
now, Doduo Biribi Aduonum Gyeabour II
(Chief of Nkotumso-Nkasawura in the Upper Denkyira West District in the central region) by the Pentecost International Worship Center(PIWC),Bompata area among six other  members .
He  served twenty-seven years.
At a colourful ceremony held on Sunday at PIWC,Bompata -Aboabo in Kumasi it was noted that ,Doduo Biribi Aduonum II ( retired) together with her wife were among the pioneers who started planting churches for the church of Pentecost in Italy before the arrival of the late Apostle Baidoo to take over the National Head in 1994.
History has it that,In  1992, Doduo Biribi Aduonum Gyeabour  II together with his wife  planted a non-denominational church in Arona, Italy.
After running the church for two years on their own,they handed over to the church of Pentecost as the first assembly in that region.
Again,On 14th  February 1994 ,the church was inaugurated by Apostle (Dr)Wiafe (Retired)then an elder.
This assembly is now a district with seven assemblies,most of them planted by elder Akwasi Aduonum.He became the first presiding elder of the Arona Assembly.
Doduo Biribi Aduonum Gyeabour II  also planted the church of Pentecost Assembly in Milano, Italy  which is now a district and the seat of National Head which now has five assemblies.
Elder Akwasi Aduonum was the first presiding elder of the church in Monza , Milano.
He joined the Aurora Assembly in Denver ,Colorado(USA)of the church of Pentecost in the year 2000.
Late Apostle Bediako ,then a pastor was his district pastor .In 2003,he joined the blackwood Hodge assembly in New Jersey.His district pastor was Apostle Asemnor then a pastor.
Elder Aduonum , accepted God as his personal savior in 1984 at the church of Pentecost ,Kentikrono in Kumasi and was Baptized by immersion in 1985 by pastor Forson and was Baptized by the holy Spirit in 1986 at a convention at Asante Agogo.
POSITIONS HELD
Doduo Biribi Aduonum Gyeabour II,has held various positions in the church of Pentecost both Ghana and Abroad.
As a presiding elder, District witness (Evangelism) secretary, Bible Studies Teacher,Cells Coordinator, Hospitality Chairman, Children Ministry Patron , Interpreter : Italian-English -Twi and marriage counselor.
His passion is to help and defend the needy ,poor and vulnerable both in the church and the society in general.
Doduo Biribi Aduonum Gyeabour II was born on the 19th of March,1955 to the late Nana Akwasi Ayirebi -Tuffour of Abodom -Edwinase (Asante-Bekwai) and Obaapanin Adwoa Mensah of Jukwa-Watreso (Denkyira).
WORKING EXPERIENCE
He joined the Crops Research Institute in 1975 after his Ordinary level and later did his A levels whilst working.
In 1979 ,he resigned as a technical officer and has since been on his own.
 Doduo Biribi Aduonum Gyeabour II  is  married to Deaconess Dorcas Aduonum with a daughter.
The other six retired members were Elder Pascal Opeku,DNS Mary Konadu Boadu, Florence Emily Darkoah, Deaconess Agnes Dziwornu, Deaconess Kate Awadey and Deaconess Esther Sewonu.
