Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, representing the President-Elect John Dramani Mahama, visited the Apostles Revelation Society (ARS) Church in Anyako, Volta Region, to express gratitude to Prophet Edwin Selasi Kwesi Wogbloexo Wovenu II and the congregation for their fervent prayers and prophetic guidance prior to the President-Elect’s victory in the recent elections.
In delivering the President-Elect’s heartfelt message, Hon. Afriyie-Ankrah commended the spiritual leadership of Prophet Wovenu and acknowledged the pivotal divine role the church played in shaping the nation’s electoral outcome. He highlighted the prayers and intercessions, particularly on December 6, 2024, as a significant factor in securing this historic and emphatic victory, all to the glory of God.
President Mahama’s message highlighted the rich history of the ARS Church, once a formidable and unified religious institution with widespread influence in Ghana and beyond. Reflecting on its current division into two camps, he expressed his earnest hope that, during his upcoming tenure, the church would reconcile and regain its united strength to better serve the Kingdom of God and the Nation.
The interest expressed by Prophet Wovenu in Agriculture aligned seamlessly with President Mahama’s Manifesto commitments to revitalizing the sector. Through Hon. Afriyie-Ankrah, the President-Elect urged the ARS Church and other religious bodies to embrace the Agricultural opportunities that his government intends to roll out under the framework of the 24-hour economy. He assured them that Agriculture would be a cornerstone of his administration’s efforts to foster sustainable economic growth and self-sufficiency.
