Emirates Red Crescent Fetes Over 10000 Vulnerables In Greater Kumasi

Emirates Red Crescent; a UAE relief and aide agency has made a jumbo supply of meat of slaughtered cows and sheep to the vulnerable in Greater Kumasi of the Ashanti region.

The mass donation by the humanitarian organisation happened on Sunday, 16th June, 2024 and was carried out as part of the Eid celebration.

It was done in communities including Parkoso, Sepe, Achiase and other areas of the Ejisu Municipality same day through its local partner called Ansar Al-Khairiya.

Officials succeeded in feeding over thousand people in Greater Kumasi.

Recorded figures on the number of beneficiaries are; 450-Parkoso, 750-Sepe and 850 for Ejisu and Achiase.

Alhaji Alhassan Ayuba, General Secretary for Ansar Al-Khairiya told modern Ghana that the objective was to put smile of the faces of the needy by celebrating the Eid with them.

He described the donation as an annual activity which Emirates Red Crescent has been doing for the past 6 years.

Mohammed Bun Bida, Publicity Officer for Ansar Al-Khairiya said the impact since the inception of the initiative has been great, explaining that it has succeeded in touching the lives of a great number of vulnerable within the Ghanaian society.

He noted that Emirates Red Crescent aside the above support has executed a number of humanitarian interventions such as building of schools, equipping people with soft skills training, provision of start-up capital for youth who are desirous of starting their own business, construction of mechanised boreholes among others.
