Energy Minister, Hon Mathew Opoku Prempeh has called on Queen mothers in the country to support the fight against global warming.
Hon. Mathew Opoku Prempeh indicated that the persistent usage of fossil fuels such as charcoal and the likes do not only affect the natural environment but it also has a great consequences on human lives today and generation to come.
Addressing queen mothers during the Energy Ministry transition forum engagement with paramount queen mothers at conference hall of national house of chief on the Theme National Energy Transition Plan, Moving Ghana Towards A Net Zero Future, he said, the ministry want the queen mothers to be advocates and create awareness of the danger of global warming.
He was confident that the queen mothers because of their influence can help make the fight sustainable. Added that, without Nananom the agenda will fail.
Hon Mathew Opoku Prempeh entreated Ghanaians to respect the measures such as afforestation, patronizing on solar panels to save electricity and protect the climate change.
