Former ECG Boss Supports Over Three Thousand Three Hundred BECE Candidates

As part of his contributions to the provision of quality education,the former Managing Director of Electricity Company of Ghana(ECG),Mr Kwame Agyeman Budu has donated over  Three thousand three hundred (3,300) Mathematical sets to all BECE candidates in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The presentation was done at a short ceremony held at Ejisu Presby church on Thursday,13th October,2022.

Speaking at the ceremony,Mr. Agyemang Budu assured the Municipal Education Director and all stakeholders that the gesture was not going to be a nine days wonder because he will continue to contribute his quota towards improvement of education in the Municipality since government alone can’t shoulder the responsibility.

The former ECG boss therefore advised all BECE candidates, especially those in the area as well as candidates across the country to focus on what their teachers have taught them . devoid of the so called “Apoo”.

He cautions them against all forms of examination malpractices.
He challenged them to study hard and abide by all rules and regulations governing the BECE exams .
He also wishes them good luck in their exams.
The former ECG boss also commended the Teachers and Education workers in the Municipality for their commitment and dedication to work and urged them not to relent in their efforts.

Mr.Kwabena Owusu,the Ejisu Municipal Education Director who received the Mathematical sets for onwards distribution to the Representatives of 52 Junior High Schools (JHSs) in the area heaps praises on .Mr Agyeman Budu for his timely kind gesture.

According to him, Mathematical sets have come at a good time since this year’s BECE exams will start on Monday,17th October,2022 across the country.

The request by Mr.Kwabena Owusu to former ECG boss to consider to support candidates from Two(2) communities; Asotwe and Achina who will be commuting to and fro Examination centres with transportation fares also received instant response from Mr.Agyeman Budu.

Mr.Budu promised to absorb the transportation fares of the candidates from the two schools through out the examination period.
The ceremony was attended by Head teachers, Boys and Girls prefects from the various schools as well as Assembly members of Ejisu Municipal.
