GNPC furnishes Ashanti Region with over 123 physical projects

Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has boasted itself of treating the Ashanti Region very fairly with over 123 different projects from the Ghana’s oil proceedes.

Dr. Domini Eduah ,Chief Executive Director for GNPC made this known on Thursday October 5th, 2023 during an official commission of five different projects in the Ashanti Region.

The projects included, 3-unit classroom block at Dasubimadwen, 6-unit classroom block at Asokwa both in the Adansi Asokwa District, another 6-unit classroom blocks with ferniture at Kumasi Senior High School (KUHIS), 10-seater W/C lavatory and 6-unit classroom block both at Atonsu in the Asokwa municipality.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Dominic Eduah, confirmed that they have constructed over 123 projects in the Ashanti Region alone.

He said, the projects together with the five they commissioned yesterday , included a mechanized bole wholes, school blocks, sanitary facilities, football pitches (Astroturf) and among others.

According to him, as the GNPC’s motto suggests, “Impacting the lives of Ghanaians”, they will continue supporting Ghanaians with the oil money or proceeds to improve the lives of Ghanaians.

He therefore entreated users of the projects to take proper care of them.

 

He added that in terms of education, GNPC has awarded scholarships to over 7,800 across the country, where some others are sent Abroad and at the Tertiary levels in Ghana.

Showing appreciation to GNPC, Headmaster for Kumasi Senior High School (KUHIS), Mr. Benjamin Tawiah Twum, thanked them for such support which will help curb their infrastructural deficit.

He then pleaded to other government agencies and philanthropists to assist the school with computer laboratory and others.
