Alhaji Sulley Adams Yussif, the Parliamentary aspirant for Asante Akim North in the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) after going through a successful vetting, has stated that, his agenda for the seat come the 2024 general elections is to promote unity for purpose to ensure the total development of the constituency irrespective of one’s political sentiment, tribe or religious backgrounds.

According to him, he ready to do whatever is humanly possible to unseat the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) come the 2024 general elections
He stated that, the NPP MPs has been occupied the seat for some time now, yet the constituency remains underdeveloped especially the settlers in the various communities around the Agogo township have been excluded in terms of sharing the national cake.

Speaking to media to elaborate his vision for the constituency, Alhaji Sulley noted that, there is despondency in the area amongst the settlers who are mostly in the farming communities, as there is no hope for them to be alleviated from poverty.
He stated that, most of the settlers communities can not boast of even a single lawyer, Doctor, a teacher or not to talk about graduates from tertiary institutions.

He was of the view that, it’s long overdue to avert such problems, and for that matter, is ready to ensure that, their foundation is build when given the nod to represent the residents in Parliament.
He disclosed that about 70% of the constituency population are farmers and most of the lands are forest zones while the remaining 30%are for the individuals, hence when elected to represent the people, he would ensure that, he liaise with the land owners to release land directly to the farmers without any intermediary.
Alhaji Yussif also reiterated that, he would embarked on youth empowerment project to ensure that the rate of unemployment among the youth is minimize to the bearest minimum.
He stressed that, such agenda could be achieve through engaging the youth in artisan work including fitting, mason, carpentry and into Hairdressing.
He indicated that, agogo is a market hub, hence would ensure that, the road network is improve, especially the road from agogo to Afram plain and agogo to Techiman, the areas he said trade with the agogo enclave to ensure that farmers do not labour invain.
