Minister for Lands and Natrual Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor has disclosed to parliament that Government spent twelve million, seven hundred and ninety-six thousand, six hundred and fifteen ghana cedis( Ghs 12, 796, 615.00) .
According to the minister, a total of five million, four hundred and eight thousand, five hundred and thirty four seedlings were procured at the cost of over 12million cedis.
Responding to a question filed by MP for Sissala West, Adam Mohammed Sukparu on the total number of seedlings procured and distributed by the station green ghana day, and at what cost.
According to the minister, the forestry commission produced a total of one million and ten thousand seedlings from the nurseries of the forest services division and six hundred seedlings were received in the form of donations and since the target was to plant a minimum of five million trees the commission had to purchase additional seedlings.
