Percival Kofi Akpaloo, Founder and leader for the Liberal People of Ghana is vehemently canvasing for the appointment of Mrs. Gifty Ohene Konadu as the Minister of Trade following the resignation of Hon Alan Kyeremateng.

Gifty Ohene Konadu was the deputy Minister of Trade and Industry during the erstwhile Kuffour administration and currently the National Coordinator of Monitoring and Evaluation Secretariat at the office of the President.

The LPG leader told newsmen that the woman has served before in the ministry and it is therefore obvious that, no other person apart from her deserves to be named for such position.

“She has the experience and acumen to man the sector. Considering our economic situation at the moment, bringing a different figure will not spell well for the country. She has been there before and will be a better handler of that sector”.

Businessman cum politician Kofi Akpaloo said Gifty Ohene Konadu as a deputy Minister delivered creditably and left behind an indelible record of performance which went far in face-lifting Ghana’s trade and industry during the tenure of former President John Agyekum Kuffour.

He therefore called on President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo offer her the role so as to bounce back to live Ghana’s economy.
