Hon. Isaac Adongo, Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Constituency, has demonstrated his commitment to the development of the constituency by donating items to the Alagumgube leadership in support of the ongoing Passport Office project.
This gesture reflects his dedication to bringing essential services closer to the people and ensuring that constituents have easier access to passport services.
The Upper East Regional Passport Office project is spearheaded by Alagumgube, a volunteer group that rehabilitated an old Ghana Commercial Bank building in Bolgatanga to serve as a temporary office. The project aims to provide residents with a convenient and accessible location to acquire or renew passports, eliminating the need to travel to Tamale.
The donation by Hon. Adongo has been warmly received by the Alagumgube leadership, who expressed their deep gratitude for his continuous support. The establishment of the Passport Office is seen as a major step towards enhancing development and convenience for the people of the Upper East Region.
Hon. Adongo emphasized the importance of unity in driving development, urging individuals within the Municipality to come together for a common goal. He believes that collective efforts can take Bolgatanga Municipality and beyond to new heights.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has hinted at plans to tighten passport acquisition processes to prevent unscrupulous elements from undermining recent diplomatic gains. This move aims to protect the country’s diplomatic gains and eliminate fraudulent individuals using Ghanaian passports to engage in criminal activities.
