Dr. Muhammadu Indimi is a Nigerian businessman and philanthropist.
He is the founder and chairman of Oriental Energy Resources, OER.
Over the years, he has built a reputation for supporting vulnerable communities across Africa through education, health, and infrastructure projects.
In October 2023, the renowned philanthropist, Dr. Indimi was part of the key partners who supported the construction of the ultra-modern Ejura Divisional Police Headquarters.
The facility was handed over to serve the Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipality and surrounding farming communities.
Since the completion of the police headquarters, residents say there has been a noticeable improvement in peace and stability in Ejura.
The presence of a well-equipped police command has strengthened law enforcement response time and boosted confidence among citizens and traders.
Ejura is widely regarded as one of the food baskets of the Ashanti Region and Ghana. Tens of thousands of people from all walks of life troop to the area daily to engage in farming, trading, and agro-processing.
Market women, truck drivers, and farm laborers all depend on the security of the area for their livelihoods.
With improved security, farming activities have picked up significantly.
Farmers who previously abandoned distant farms due to fear of robbery and cattle rustling have returned to their lands.
This has led to increased production of maize, yam, pepper, tomatoes, and other foodstuffs that supply markets across Ashanti and beyond.
Agricultural officers in the area note that the calm environment has also encouraged investors and input dealers to expand operations in Ejura.
The result is better access to seeds, fertilizer, and equipment for smallholder farmers, which directly translates into higher yields.
The boost in farm output has had a ripple effect on food security.
Because Ejura feeds many parts of the Ashanti Region, the stability there helps stabilize food prices in Kumasi and other major towns.
In effect, the support for the police headquarters has contributed to food security not just for Ejura, but for Ghana as a whole.
Construction of Orphanage Home
Beyond security and agriculture, Dr Indimi is set to join the people of Ejura and the Ejurahene, Barimah Osei Hwedie II, for another major intervention.
The two are partnering to construct an ultra-modern Orphanage Home in Ejura to help needy children.
The orphanage project is expected to touch hundreds of lives, particularly children abandoned at birth.
Many of these children currently struggle with hunger, lack of shelter, and limited access to education and healthcare.
The new facility aims to provide them with a safe home and a pathway to a better future.
Special Guest of Honor at 2026 Ejura Yam Festival
Dr Indimi will also serve as the Special Guest of Honor at the 2026 Ejura Yam Festival this October.
The Ejurahene, Barimah Osei Hwedie II revealed this during the official media lauch of the 2026 Ejura Yam Festival
The week-long program begins on 16th October and ends on 25th October with packed cultural activities showcasing the rich heritage of the people of Ejura and Ghana .
Dr Indimi will join the main Durbar as the Special Guest of Honor on 24th October where hundreds of people, including state officials and traditional leaders, will join Ejurahene Barimah Osei Hwedie II to mark the event.
Through these initiatives, Dr. Muhammadu Indimi is once again demonstrating his commitment to humanity.
