Human Resource (HR) Practitioners has been tasked to prioritize employees well being to enhance the viability and the sustainability of businesses for socioeconomic growth for their own interest especially in the era of the New Normal.
Mr. Andy Okra, Fellow Charted Institute of Human Resource Management CIHRM)and moderator of HR professionals made the called at virtual HR Professionals Strategic Breakfast Meeting last Monday on the theme: The New Normal and Implications on the Rôle of HR Function.
According to him, employee well being is paramount , for when the workforce is healthy and safe, then the HRs have business, Work Life Balance.
The practitioners were entreated to embrace Technology, invest highly in getting the IT infrastructure and logistics for the staff to deliver under New Normal.
They were also sensitized on the transformation and Digitalization while adding Value to HR processes and systems, and accepting the New Normal Change which he said has come to stay
Mr. Okra also challenged the practitioners to deep dive into the Labour Law and understanding the provisions in situations like the “New Normal while resilience Mastering their craft with quality leadership, Versatility, understanding the business
He charged the to deploy new Strategies and principles according to their specific Organizational area, by maximising Employee Engagement.
