It nearly ended with bloodshed last Saturday afternoon when the Founder and Leader of International Godsway Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim allegedly clashed with family members of one Esther Nkrumah over ownership of Buokrom Estate Junction Plot Number Six Block ‘XXXX’ Parcels of land in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional Capital.

Report has it that, that parcel of land at the left hand side of Buokrom Junction when coming from Airport Roundabout is originally occupied by the family of Esther Nkrumah but just last Saturday thugs from the camp of Bishop Daniel Obinim who is now claiming ownership of the land broke orders of Asantehene and then asked labourers to work on it.

It is evident that, Asantehene through Oheneba Owusu Afriyie IV, Otumfuo Apagyahene , who is Liaison Officer had refered to the above-mentioned subject matter and had informed both parties that the referenced parcels of land are subject matter of litigation which is before His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II , Asantehene for amicable settlement.

In light of that, Apagyahene requested that both parties should stop any form of development on the said parcels of land until Otumfuo had settled the litigation.

It went further that ,even though Bishop Daniel Obinim has a lease in favor of Plot No.6 Block ‘XXXX’ he’s kindly requested to stop all activities on the said land but Bishop Daniel Obinim has defiled orders of Asantehene and is seriously developing the land unabated.

This led to a misunderstanding between the two parties and nearly resulted into bloodshed.

Speaking to Madam Esther Nkrumah, daughter of the late leader and founder of The Healing Church Foundation whom according to sources is the real owner of that land at Buokrom Estate Junction ,she made it clear that they are the true owners of that piece of land but Bishop Daniel Obinim wants to use all foul means to take it from them because he is a rich man.

According to her, the land was bought from Damprahene by her late father and has been in their possession since 1983.

She said, they moved to occupied the land in 1987 where her father established a church and hence do not understand why someone would lay claim to the land just in 2005 .

Madam Esther Nkrumah and her mother (Widow) are now appealing to Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu to call for immediate investigation into the matter because Bishop Daniel Obinim has defiled his (Asantehene) orders and is working on the land seriously .

She told newsmen that, Otumfuo earlier had called for the case in April and scheduled a date for reconciliation in somewhere October ,2022 but due to unforeseeable issues the case was left hanging and Bishop Daniel Obinim has taken advantage of it and working on the land.

She is again appealing to Asantehene to settle the case for her as she has seen that contractors have started working on her land.
