A prominent political figure in the Ashanti Region, Isham Alhassan, has delivered a heartfelt and inspiring message to Ghanaians, calling for unity, peace, and national renewal following the successful observance of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In his Eid message, Mr. Alhassan expressed profound gratitude to Allah for guiding Muslims through the sacred 30-day period of Ramadan, marked by fasting, prayer, sacrifice, and spiritual reflection. He described the completion of the holy month as a moment of both celebration and deep introspection, urging citizens to carry forward the values imbibed during the period.
According to him, Eid should not only be seen as a festive occasion, but also as a turning point for individuals and communities to recommit themselves to the ideals of love, compassion, tolerance, and discipline.
“After the sacrifices of Ramadan, we must emerge as better people—more united, more compassionate, and more committed to the progress of our nation,” he stated.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman hopeful of the National Democratic Congress stressed that unity remains the cornerstone of development, noting that Ghana can only achieve meaningful progress when its people rise above divisions and work together in peace and harmony.
He urged citizens to embrace one another regardless of political, ethnic, or religious differences, emphasizing that the strength of the nation lies in its diversity and shared aspirations.
In a passionate appeal, Mr. Alhassan also called for continuous prayers for national leaders, including the President, Vice President, and all those entrusted with governance. He highlighted the importance of divine guidance in leadership, adding that the country’s future depends largely on wise, selfless, and visionary decision-making.
“Let us remember our leaders in our prayers, that Allah grants them wisdom, strength, and the courage to lead this nation towards peace and prosperity,” he added.
Touching on community development, he encouraged citizens to take active roles in building their localities, stressing that development is a collective responsibility. He noted that while leadership plays a vital role, the participation and cooperation of the people are equally essential in driving progress.
Mr. Alhassan further called for sustained prayers for peace and development across communities, particularly within the Ashanti Region, urging residents to foster a spirit of teamwork and mutual respect.
The message, rich in emotion and sincerity, has been widely praised as timely and unifying. Many observers believe it reflects a deep understanding of the nation’s current needs, blending spiritual reflection with a strong call to action.
As families and communities celebrate Eid with joy and gratitude, Mr. Alhassan’s message serves as a powerful reminder that the true essence of the occasion lies in renewal—of faith, of unity, and of a shared commitment to building a peaceful and prosperous Ghana.
His words continue to resonate strongly, reinforcing the belief that through unity, prayer, and collective effort, the nation can overcome its challenges and chart a path toward lasting development and harmony.
