Hon. Joana Gyan-Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, has been recognized for her outstanding generosity and unwavering support to persons with disabilities (PWDs) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The National Disability Desk of the NDC presented her with a citation at her residence in Accra on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Hon. Gyan-Cudjoe’s commitment to disability advocacy has been described as “magnificent” by many within the party. She has consistently provided financial, logistical, and emotional support to PWDs, particularly during the 2024 general elections. Her contributions have played a key role in mobilizing votes from persons with disabilities.
The citation was presented by Comrade Joyce Gyamfi, NDC National Campaign Coordinator for Women with Disabilities and Deputy National Coordinator in charge of Operations.
The presentation had three core objectives :
– Celebrating Hon. Gyan-Cudjoe’s Parliamentary Victory: Congratulating her on her win in the 2024 elections.
– Expressing Appreciation: Acknowledging her consistent financial and material support to PWDs.
– Empowering PWDs: Engaging in discussions around inclusive and sustainable policies to empower persons with disabilities.
In her acceptance remarks, Hon. Gyan-Cudjoe expressed heartfelt gratitude and pledged her continued support to the NDC Disability Desk and its members. She emphasized that supporting PWDs is not just a gesture of goodwill but a sacred responsibility she fully embraces.
The NDC Disability Desk commends Hon. Joana Gyan-Cudjoe for her compassion, leadership, and consistent generosity. Her dedication to disability advocacy extends beyond her constituency and region, reaching national significance. She has remained a true friend and champion for PWDs within the party and across Ghana .
