Joana Gyan Cudjoe leads free distribution of sanitary pads in Amenfi Central

The NDC Parliamentary candidate for Amanfi Central Constituency in the Western Region,Joana Gyan Cudjoe , says there is a need to promote menstrual health and hygiene among the youth.

According to her, it is important for policy makers and oragnisations to prioritise menstrual care for women and girls.

She stressed the importance of raising awareness about the challenges faced by those lacking access to sanitary products.

This comes after Joana Gyan Cudjoe donated over 10,000 sanitary pads to some selected communities in her constituency and educated females on maintaining cleanliness during menstruation.

The soon to be MP promised to support her constituents and improve their lives.

Addressing constituents at Kwakuboah yesterday,the affable female politician highlighted the significance of hygienic menstruation practices and expressed gratitude to the beneficiaries for making the project a successful one.

According to her , she acknowledges the challenges faced by many girls and women in accessing sanitary products due to their vulnerable backgrounds.

Beneficiary communities included Manso Amanfi, Amuni, Kwamang,Ayiem Kwakuboah and Wassa Agona.

The project would be extended to other communities under her jurisdiction.

The program was started with free health screening and distribution of party T-shirts, among others…
