The Ghana Science & Tech Explorer Prize (GSTEP) Challenge has inducted 100 finalist teams from Junior High Schools in the Greater Accra, Eastern and Ashanti regions into the programme.
Finalist teams across the Greater Accra, Eastern and Ashanti regions have participated in judging events where they pitched and presented STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related projects to a judging panel.
The teams, each consisting of between 4 to 6 team members, were selected in May from Junior High Schools to develop unique solutions to problems in their communities and society at large using STEM as part of the 2023 GSTEP Challenge competition.
The GSTEP Challenge encourages students in Junior High School to develop entrepreneurial and STEM skills through a challenge prize.
Out of 1,200 applications received to participate in the Challenge, 100 teams were selected for the finals slated for 25th January 2024 in Accra.
