Kejetia Market closed down for 3 days after fire outbreak

The new Kejetia market has been closed down for the next three days following a meeting between the management of the market and the leadership of the traders within the facility.

The closure of the market commenced today ,Friday, March, 17 and is expected to be reopened on Sunday 19TH ,2023.

Shops were opened after 12 noon on Thursday for all traders within the facility to assess the condition of their shops.

Today, Friday, persons who were directly affected by the fire were allowed to access their shops for only three hours, as those who deal in perishable goods were given preferential treatment to check the state of their items.

There will be no trading activities within the period that the market would be closed down.
