Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has commended the Directors of the Melcom Group of Companies for engaging in productive business practices in support of growing business in Ghana.
He expressed excitement the company’s increasing investments in Ghana through a rapid and well co-ordinated expansion programme which makes the company one of the biggest shopping centre in the country.
Former President Kufuor made the remarks when a Management team paid a courtesy call on him at his residence at Peduase in the Eastern Region.
He said he was particularly pleased with the generosity which the Melcom Care Foundation regularly extends to needy individuals, communities and institutions across the country.
The Melcom Group Director of Communications, Godwin Avenorgbo conveyed to His Excellency the Melcom Group’s good will for continuing good health and prosperity in the New Year.
He assured him that additional lines of business namely PIZZA HUT and GIORDANO CLOTHING in addition to new Melcom Shops being opened will create avenues for the youth who are seeking employment opportunities to put into practice the skills they have acquired; adding that Melcom has developed resilient business operating standards to maintain its Good Corporate Citizen Status in Ghana.
