The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has announced a clean-up exercise scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, in the Bantama Sub-Metro.
The exercise is part of the government’s vision to conduct monthly clean-up exercises nationwide.
According to authorities,the exercise will cover the entire Bantama sub-metro, including Bantama Market, Race Course Market/Terminal, Bantama High Street, Abrepo Junction to Suame Roundabout, Abrepo Junction to Bonyese, and Bekwai Roundabout to Sofoline Interchange.
All trading activities and shops within the Bantama Sub-Metro are to remain closed until 12noon while owners participate in the exercise.
No vehicular movement will be allowed during the stipulated period in the operational areas.
The KMA urges all traders, commercial drivers, and residents to comply with the directive.
The announcement is issued by the Public Relations Unit of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
By conducting this clean-up exercise, the KMA aims to promote cleanliness and orderliness in the Bantama Sub-Metro District, aligning with the government’s nationwide initiative.
