Kyidomhene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area appointed to serve on Governing Board

The Kyidomhene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality of the Western North Region, Nana Elluo Panyin lll, has been called to serve on Governing Board of the National Development Planning Commission.

He was nominated by the Western North Regional Minister, Mr. Richard Obeng Ebbah in accordance with the constitution.

Kyidomhene, who is also the chief of Sefwi Nsuonsua is a product of St John’s Senior High School in Sekondi-Takoradi.

He holds Diploma in Education from the University of Education, Winneba and B.A degree from University of Ghana.

Nana also enrolled at Central University College where he obtained L.L.B.

The visionary chief, who is also a businessman, farmer and contractor before this enviable appointment has served the nation in different capacities.

He is an active board member of Sefwi Wiawso Nursing Training College, Co-chair for Western North Regional health committee.

He is also chairman of the Chirano Gold Mines Sefwiman Foundation Scholarship Scheme.

In the related development, Nana single handley has instituted Kyidomhene Foundation with the objective to support the less privileged in the Western North Region.

In an interview with GNA after his appointment, Nana Elluo Panyin lll, was thankful to the Western North Regional Minister, Mr. Richard Obeng Ebbah and the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the honor done him.

He, however, pledged to serve diligently so that he would achieve the purpose for his call to on governing board of national development commission.

Other key appointments contained in the press release issued by the Western North Regional Coordinating Council includes Mr. Thomas Freeman Asante appointed as the new regional security liaison officer for the region.

The rest were Mr. Rasmus Kwaofie and Mr. Anthony Amankwah as members of the regional Audit committee.
