The law firm Mettle-Nunoo, Quartey & Partners has issued a demand to the Editor-in-Chief of Daybreak Newspaper, calling for the cessation of defamatory publications against Mr. Eric Adjei, Esq., Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP).

In a letter dated November 11, 2025, the lawyers acting on behalf of Mr. Adjei stated that publications in Daybreak Newspaper, specifically “Coming Up: Visa Racketeering Scandal Hits NEIP” (Vol. 14, Issue No. 078, published on November 11, 2025) and “Is Eric Adjei in charge of NEIP?” (Vol. 14, Issue No. 076, published on November 4, 2025), are false, malicious, and calculated to tarnish Mr. Adjei’s reputation.

The lawyers emphasized that Mr. Adjei categorically denies any involvement in visa racketeering or any related activities as alleged or insinuated in the publications.

The demand is made to avoid further damage to Mr. Adjei’s hard-earned reputation and to prevent erosion of confidence in his official capacity as CEO of NEIP.

The letter highlights the potential legal consequences of continuing to publish defamatory content about Mr. Adjei. Mettle-Nunoo, Quartey & Partners are representing Mr. Adjei in this matter, underscoring the seriousness of the allegations and the need for responsible journalism.

Daybreak Newspaper has been given notice to cease and desist from further defamatory publications against Mr. Eric Adjei. The outcome of this demand and any potential legal actions that may follow will be closely monitored by stakeholders in the media and the NEIP.
