Mr Joseph Yamin, the National Organizer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has cautioned the party against complacency towards 2024 general elections.
According to him, despite the abysmal performance of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the last six and half years making it clear that, the NDC is the only option to salvage the mess created, complacency could cause the NDC in realizing the dream of forming the next government come 2024.
Speaking at orientation and capacity building for the branch youth organizers under the auspices of the Ashanti regional youth wing in the Sekyere Afram Plans constituency, he reminded the NDC to be aware of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) they would be dealing with and always remains vigilant and united.
The National organizer expressed the need for the supporters from the ranks and file of the NDC to focus on a massive campaign to enable them canvas for massive votes to ensure a resounding victory for both the presidential and parliamentary elections in the upcoming 2024 elections convincingly.
He is of the view that, a massive win for the NDC will bring the NDC in government irrespective of the machinations of the Electoral Commission (EC) and the NPP government plotting to clinch on power at all cost despite the economic mess created to enable them continue lotting the country’s resources to themselves at the expense of the Ghanaian citizenry.
Nana Akwasi Augustus Andrews, the Ashanti regional chairman of the NDC, stressed that, the Sekyere Afram Plans seat has nowhere to go, for it’s the property of the NDC, they only need unity between the former and current constituency and branch Executives.
He reiterated that, the NDC is winning the 2924 elections considering the economic mess cause by the governing NPP, though reminds members of the NDC that, the victory would not come on a silver plater if they did not remain united and embark on a vigorous campaign as a united force.
He stressed that, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would definitely increase their votes in the Ashanti region and do whatever they could to ensure that the victory which is their hallmark is achieve come 2024 only when they are united.
