A delegation from the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by the Leader , Former President John Dramani Mahama stormed Kumawu in the Ashanti Region yesterday ahead of the By-election.
Mr Mahama led the delegation to campaign for the NDC Parliamentary candidate, Akwasi Amankwa, in the upcoming Kumawu by-election.
Leadership of the party, has already been in the constituency to support the Parliamentary candidate.
While in Kumawu, Mr Mahama visited the chief of Kumawu and proceed to meet various groups for the campaign.
There will be a by-election in the Kumawu constituency on Tuesday, 23 May 2023, the Electoral Commission has announced.
The entourage included National Chairman Mr Johnson Asiedu Nkentia, General Secretary Hon Fifi Kwetey, Deputy General Secretary Lawyer Barbara Sewaa Asamoah, National Organizer Hon Joseph Yamin, National Youth Organizer Hon Opare Addo, formal Ashanti regional minister Hon Samuel Sarpong, Ashanti regional chairman Hon Augustus Nana Kwasi Andrews, Ashanti regional Secretary Dr Frank Amoakohene and flag bearer Hon Kojo Bonsu and Hon Mrs Joana Gyan-Cudjoe Parliamentary Candidate for Amenfi Central in the Western Region.
