Majority Leader Gives Sompa FM a 48-Hour Ultimatum To Retract Allegations

The Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Hon Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has given Sompa FM, a Kumasi-based private radio station a 48-hour ultimatum to retract allegations made against him on its programme dubbed Ken Hour.

According to Mr Richard Asante, the Former Research Assistant to the Majority Leader, failure by Sompa FM to do the needful, will
anger the Leader to resort to all legal means to polish his soiled image.

Mr Asante, who is the Second Vice Chairman for Suame Constituency of the party, disclosed that the sound contained in the tape is not the voice of the Majority Leader hence it amounts to a childish attempt to sow a seed of discord into the party and a calculated move to bring the name of the MP into a public ridicule.

The Former Research Assistant noted that the Majority Leader has never accused the President of mismanaging the affairs of the party as attributed to him, in the alleged tape.

Mr Asante disclosed that the Majority Leader has also denied to have alleged that the General Secretary, Lawyer Justin Koduah Frimpong and others solicited funds from some potential presidential hopefuls to finance their campaigns during the national elections of the party.

The Majority Leader, according to Mr Asante, has urged the individuals, including, the President, the General Secretary of the party, whose names were mentioned in the tape, to turn deaf ears to such unfounded allegations.
