Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya South in the Ashanti Region , has embarked on a monitoring visit to the Abuakwa–Housing to Dadease road to assess ongoing reshaping works being carried out on the critical feeder road.
The visit, which forms part of the Assembly’s broader infrastructure monitoring programme, underscores the MCE’s commitment to ensuring that all developmental projects undertaken within the municipality are executed to the highest standards and in the best interest of residents.
During the inspection tour, Hon. Boamah interacted with engineers and supervisors on site, taking time to observe the progress of the reshaping exercise and to ensure that the work meets required specifications.
According to the Municipal Chief Executive, effective leadership goes beyond office administration and must be demonstrated through direct engagement and on-the-ground supervision.
“Leadership must be seen on the ground. I need to come here myself to assess the work and ensure it is being done well and according to standard,” he emphasized.
He noted that infrastructure projects, particularly road improvements, play a vital role in enhancing economic activity, easing transportation, and improving the daily lives of communities across Atwima Nwabiagya South.
The Abuakwa–Dadease road serves as an important route for residents, commuters, traders, and motorists, connecting communities and supporting movement within the municipality.
For years, users of the road have faced challenges, especially during the rainy season, when poor road conditions often hinder transportation and access.
The ongoing reshaping works are expected to bring temporary relief while laying the foundation for more permanent improvements.
Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah expressed a strong desire to see the Abuakwa–Dadease road fully tarred in the near future, describing it as part of his long-term vision for modern road infrastructure across the municipality.
“My dream is to ensure that this road is not only reshaped but eventually tarred to provide lasting comfort and safety for road users,” he stated.
He assured residents that the Municipal Assembly will continue to pursue avenues for securing support and resources to upgrade key feeder roads into durable, all-weather roads.
The monitoring visit reflects the MCE’s hands-on approach to governance and his dedication to delivering quality development projects.
Hon. Boamah reiterated that his administration remains focused on ensuring value for money in all municipal projects and strengthening accountability in local governance.
Residents who witnessed the inspection praised the MCE for his proactive involvement, noting that such visits demonstrate seriousness and responsiveness to community needs.
As Atwima Nwabiagya South continues to grow, road infrastructure remains central to the municipality’s development agenda. The Assembly’s commitment to reshaping and upgrading key roads signals a renewed push toward improved connectivity, economic progress, and better living standards.
Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah has assured the people of Atwima Nwabiagya South that under his leadership, development will not be promised from afar but monitored, enforced, and delivered with excellence.
