Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene Leads Charge in Ashanti Sanitation Drive

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene,yesterday led the monthly National Sanitation exercise at the Regional Coordinating Council and its environs.

This initiative coincided with the launch of the National Sanitation Day by the President in Accra, underscoring the region’s commitment to a cleaner and healthier environment.

The exercise saw participation from Regional Directors, the Mayor of Kumasi, Hon Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi,and various district assemblies across the region.

The collective effort demonstrates the Ashanti Region’s dedication to improving sanitation and promoting a healthier community.

The minister during and interview made special appreciation to youth volunteer groups, including Aboafoɔ, Asanteman Sanitation, Volad, and Ashanti Youth for Sanitation, as well as Zoomlion Ghana Ltd., for their significant contributions to the sanitation exercise.

According to the minister,their involvement has been instrumental in driving collective action towards a cleaner Ashanti Region and a healthier Ghana.

The minister indicated,the sanitation exercise is part of ongoing efforts to maintain a clean environment and promote public health in the region.

The Ashanti Regional Minister’s leadership and the participation of various stakeholders highlight the region’s commitment to achieving a cleaner and healthier future for all residents.
