Mr Ahmed Ibrahim, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Banda Constituency in the Bono Region, has break grounds for the construction of an ultramodern market facility in the constituency.
The ultramodern market facility, which would be build in between the communities of Ahenkro and Bongase to enhance businesses and economic activities in the areas and other surrounding communities in the Banda district and beyond while creating a conducive environment for local businesses in Banda to thrive.
The colourful event was attended by Chiefs and opinion leaders and other restaurants in the district, with some of the Bono regional Executives of the National Democratic Congress.
Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim, was accompanied by Mr Kwadwo Nyamekye Marfo, the Bono Regional Chairman for the NDC, Mr Charles Akowuah Tuffour, the Bono Regional Communication Officer of the NDC and other Assembly Members which includes Dogi Peter, Assembly Member of Ahenkro, Jerry Seito, Bongase Mratehene, Yakubu Issah including many others
MP Ahmed Ibrahim explained that, investing in infrastructures such as markets will promote economic growth and improve the livelihoods of the people and the reason of building such an edifice.
According to him, the ultramodern market complex, is expected to provide modern facilities and amenities for traders and customers alike, and also includes spacious stalls, proper sanitation facilities, ample parking space and a conducive environment for business transactions.
According to the legislature, the new market complex will not only benefit the local economy but also contribute to the overall development of the Communities, adding that when the project completed and commissioned, it would create employment opportunities, promote entrepreneurship and foster a vibrant business environment.
He stated that, the groundbreaking ceremony symbolizes his commitment to prioritize the welfare and prosperity of the people of Banda.
He noted that, the construction of the ultramodern market complex in Banda which is spearheaded by him, marks a significant milestone in the efforts to improve market and economic activities in the region.
He disclosed that, the new market complex would not only benefit the local economy but also contribute to the overall development of the Communities.
