Speaking to the media during the donation yesterday,Mr. Simon Amoh, General Manager, Northern Ghana who presented the items on behalf of MTN Ghana, made it known that  the  support was an annual ritual to support Muslims in the Ashanti region during the Ramadan period and just not those in the Ashanti region but other regions in the country.

He said in spite of the Coronavirus Pandemic that has hit the entire world they still have to get innovative ways of doing things in  creating harmony and to build a strong relationship with all stakeholders and contributing to the growth of diverse religious groups in the country.

Adding that it has always been a ritual to support the Muslims during the Ramadan period and as an African company, they believe first in the African traditional religion and all forms of religions that they  live and work with.

He said it was difficult to identify the religion of the company’s huge subscriber base hence it was their responsibility to celebrate with all religions to show appreciation for their loyalty to the company over the years.

He however  wished all Muslims a special Ramadan and prayed for God to grant their heart desires by the time they complete the one-month fasting.

Mr. Amoh further reminded them of the need to observe all the safety protocols of the dreaded COVID-19 to help stop the spread of the virus .

Receiving the items,Sheikh Harun Abdul Moumin, Ashanti regional Chief Imam thanked MTN -Ghana for the consistent   support even in the face of the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic which is adversely affecting many business entities across the world.

He prayed for God’s mercy to dwell on the company for a successful business in all endeavours.
