In a strong show of political support and unity, the Member of Parliament for Asawase and Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mubarak, has publicly endorsed the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Oforikrom Hon Answel Sadat , describing him as “very humble and hardworking.”

The endorsement, made during a public engagement in the municipality, underscores growing confidence in the leadership of the Oforikrom MCE, whose performance has increasingly drawn commendation from both political figures and residents.

Addressing a gathering, Mr. Mubarak highlighted the importance of humility and diligence in public service, noting that such qualities are critical to effective governance and sustainable development.

According to him, the MCE’s leadership style reflects a deep commitment to the welfare of the people and a readiness to serve without arrogance or self-interest.
“Leadership is not about noise but about results and respect for the people,” he stated. “The MCE for Oforikrom has demonstrated that he understands the needs of his community and is working tirelessly to address them. His humility makes him approachable, and his hard work is evident in the progress being made.”
The Interior Minister further emphasized that development at the local level requires collaboration and mutual support among political leaders, regardless of party lines. He noted that recognizing and supporting capable leaders is essential for accelerating growth and improving living conditions within communities.
Residents who attended the event echoed similar sentiments, praising the MCE for his visible efforts in infrastructure development, sanitation improvement, and youth engagement initiatives. Many expressed optimism that continued support from national figures like Mr. Mubarak would further boost development in the area.
Political observers see the endorsement as a significant gesture that could strengthen cooperation across political divides in Kumasi. It also signals a broader call for performance-based recognition in governance, where leaders are judged by their impact rather than partisan affiliations.
As local governance continues to play a pivotal role in Ghana’s decentralization agenda, endorsements of this nature are likely to encourage accountability and inspire other municipal leaders to prioritize service delivery.
For the people of Oforikrom, the message is clear: leadership grounded in humility and hard work remains the cornerstone of meaningful development.
