Nana Oyeade3yie Kesse, Tano Komfo who resides at Tafo Pankrono in the Ashanti Region has presented a physical cash of GH₵10,000 towards the ‘Heal Komfo Anokye Project.
The donation took place when the Chief priest paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at Manhyia Palace, Kumasi.
The gesture is to rescue Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital from dying .
Tano Komfo Kesse, presenting the cash, congratulated the Asantehene on the achievement of his 25th anniversary celebration since he was enstooled as leader of Asanteman.
The Chief Priest praised the Asantehene for creating an enabling environment for businesses within Asanteman to thrive.
According to him, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital is the only hospital in Ghana which serves about 12 regions across the Country but looking at it current state it is not suitable for patients to be admitted since the need for all and sundry to come on board to provide amicable solutions.
He was of the view that, without Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital provision of quality health care wouldn’t be productive hence there’s the need to support Asantehene to rescue the dying state of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
He however appealed to various priests and priestess in the Ashanti Region to support Asantehene to rescue Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital…..
For his part, Fuseni Issah,Coordinator for heal Komfo Anokye project, receiving the cash on behalf of Asantehene, thanked the chief Priest for the donation and assured that it would be handed over to the appropriate quarters and used for the intended purpose.
He then appealed to all to help support the project.
