The 2024 Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Subin, Nana Kwasi Denkyi Agyekum, has extended a generous hand of support to Muslim communities within the Subin Constituency in the Ashanti Region as they observe the holy month of Ramadan.

In a show of solidarity and compassion, the parliamentary candidate donated assorted food items to aid Muslims in their fasting and prayers during the sacred period.

The items included 35 bags of sugar, 35 cartons of milk, 35 boxes of Lipton tea, and 35 boxes of Miksi Choco, collectively valued at hundreds of Ghana cedis.

Presenting the items to representatives of the Muslim community, Nana Kwasi Denkyi Agyekum appealed to beneficiaries to accept the donation in good faith and remember the nation in their prayers.

He particularly urged them to pray for President John Dramani Mahama, expressing hope that his administration would continue to deliver effective governance and fulfil its mandate to improve the living conditions of Ghanaians.

According to the Subin NDC PC, the President has already fulfilled a number of campaign promises and remains committed to meeting the expectations of citizens across the country.

He prayed for long life, good health, and divine guidance for President Mahama to enable him to steer the affairs of the nation toward sustained growth and development.

Touching on internal party matters, Nana Kwasi Denkyi Agyekum encouraged members of the NDC who are yet to receive government appointments to remain patient and steadfast.

He assured them that the government remains focused on building a better future for all and urged them to continue supporting the party’s vision and programmes.

He further called on the Muslim community to use the Ramadan season as a time to promote peace, tolerance, and national cohesion before, during, and after the celebrations.

Emphasizing the importance of unity, he noted that development can only thrive in an atmosphere of harmony and mutual respect.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Muslim community, the Subin Constituency Youth Organizer, Abdul Ganiu Cissey, expressed profound gratitude to the parliamentary candidate for his kindness and generosity. He offered prayers for God’s protection, guidance, and blessings upon Nana Kwasi Denkyi Agyekum, asking that he be divinely rewarded and replenished for his sacrifice in supporting Muslims during their fast.

The Subin Constituency Secretary, Justice Anaman, also commended the PC for his thoughtful gesture. He described the donation as timely and impactful, praying that Nana Kwasi Denkyi Agyekum would live to witness remarkable success in his political career and continue to serve the people of Subin with dedication.

The donation forms part of the NDC parliamentary candidate’s broader efforts to engage with various religious and community groups within the constituency, reinforcing a message of inclusivity, peace, and shared national progress during one of Islam’s most sacred observances.
