NAPO Running Mate: Ashanti Chiefs, Queen mothers WhatsApp Group Explode With Joy

There is wild jubilation across the WhatsApp group of the Chiefs and Queen mothers of the Ashanti Region following the naming of Mathew Opoku Prempeh as NPP Running Mate.

The Kumasi Traditional Council platform, while not political, strongly welcome the choice of their beloved son, the royal Napo to partner Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as Running mate for the 2024 election.

Messages and voice notes recorded and posted on the platform yesterday by various chiefs was overwhelmingly positive and welcome the selection of the Energy Minister and Manhyia Royal as Running Mate.

Chiefs from various traditional areas showered which this portal will not name for now say they look forward to receiving their son when he comes around to be introduced to them formally in their palaces.

One Chief who sits in an odd number position to the left of the Asantehene during traditional Durbars urged all the chiefs to consider the victory of Bawumia and ‘y3 nanaa Nana Poku” as “an Asanteman priority in the next 6 months.”

Reports suggest the mood among the queenmothers was no different.

A confidential internal memo surrounding the choice of NAPO had intimated that the 2024 election will be the first election in Ghana where Chiefs and traditional influencers in the Ashanti Region will take a keen interest because of Napo.

Independent Analysts have said with the selection of Napo, it is possible for NPP to win the 2024 election easily by performing a little above average in the whole Ghana but securing a 77% to 85% showing in Ashanti region.

Matthew Opoku Prempeh is expected to be formally announced by the party to Ghanaians and his party members in the coming days.
