Hon Isham Yaw Bonsu Alhassan, Ashanti Regional Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress has said that,the establishment of the Women’s Development Bank policy by H. E John Dramani Mahama (WDB) is to help women to improve their businesses and trade.
He said,the policy is a well thought out policy which the National Democratic Congress (NDC) intend to pursue when it comes into office in January 2025.
According to him, women entrepreneurs and traders have always faced the challenges of raising capital to enhance and boost their businesses and the Women’s Development Bank has been planned to assist them to overcome such bottlenecks.
Isham Yaw Bonsu Alhassan made the assertion at Manso Adubia constituency in the Ashanti Region when he together with his campaign team stormed the area today with unity walk coupled with community engagement with constituents to galvanize votes ahead of election 2024.
He maintained that ,the terms and conditions of traditional Banks including the issue of collateral and equity have remained a stumbling block to women entrepreneurs over the years for which the Women’s Development Bank would take a critical look at in order to enable more women to access the facility.
He said the NDC has the welfare and wellbeing of all Ghanaians at heart, especially the poor and downtrodden, including women and children with an open door policy to welcome all and sundry into its fold and urged all Ghanaians to come on board the NDC band wagon to help rescue the nation.
The NDC Ashanti regional organizer also used the visit to the area to appeal to Mansoman to re-elect John Dramani Mahama as the next President of the Republic for economic growth and total transformation.
He however advised the electorates to be discerning when they go to the polls on December 7, 2024 in order to help alleviate the plight of the country and its citizens from the current hardship and difficulties.
