The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, and the Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Yussif Sulemana, have inaugurated the newly constituted Ashanti Regional Lands Commission.
This significant step aims to strengthen land administration and promote transparency, accountability, and efficiency in land management across the region.
The commission’s primary objective is to ensure effective land management, addressing the increasing demand for land for infrastructure, housing, agriculture, and investment.
Dr. Amoakohene charged the newly inaugurated members to discharge their duties with integrity and fairness, prioritizing the public interest and national development vision.
The commission is led by a team of dedicated professionals, including Professor Anthony Owusu Ansah, who was recently appointed as the Executive Secretary by H.E. John Dramani Mahama.
“Dr Frank Amoakohene charged the newly inaugurated members to discharge their duties with integrity and fairness, always putting the interest of the public and the vision of national development first,” Dr. Amoakohene said.
The inauguration of the Ashanti Regional Lands Commission is expected to bring about positive transformation in land governance in the region, ensuring that land is managed in a transparent, accountable, and efficient manner.
