No accommodation challenge for students at KNUST-URO to parents

Dr. Daniel Norris Below, University Relations Officer (URO) for the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has assured parents and guidance whose wards gained admission at the university not to worry about issues in relations to  children’s accommodation.

According to him, the KNUST would not encounter any challenges in terms of students accommodation, especially the freshers, for everything is up to expectations since school started admission since last Saturday.

Speaking to the media, he explained that, four hundred and eighty (480) private hostels are on a common platform with the university to ensure that, the accommodation of the freshers becomes a thing of the past, says currently no university could boast of the availability of students accommodation than KNUST through the partnership with the private hostel owners in the school environment.
He stated that about 70% of the newly admitted students are on campus while orientations are going on at various halls through the assistance of the school security, police and Students Transport Directorate to ensure that every student successful arrival on campus and for that matter, their halls.
Dr. Bekoe cautioned the freshers against interacting or given their logages to strangers in other not to loose their valuables except school securities with uniforms on campus.

He entreated the freshers to prioritize studies as the reason on campus, and remains friends to their books to enable them stay away from bad companies to avoid their involvement in unnecessary demonstrations or rampages on campus or get themselves dismiss from the school which he said could endanger one’s future aspirations to help their facilities.
