Government Spokesperson and a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Desmond Bempong has revealed that his party is recruiting, sponsoring some delegates and parliamentary candidates of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to work on behalf of the NPP.
According to the Government Spokesperson, the NDC must forget about victory in the forthcoming 2024 general elections because the NPP will use every means to retain power.
He said that NDC has nothing good to offer Ghanaians after winning 2024 elections.
Sharing his view on Bryan Acheampong statement on Saturday during the NPP’s Mega Arise & Build Unity Walk at Kwahu-Mpraeso, Mr Bempong said that NPP is well determined to collapse the NDC party in the country.
Mr Bempong reaffirmed the NPP will use every means to retain power whether the NDC likes it or not.
Speaking to Bryt FM Ebe Sen Political show, Mr Bempong added that the majority of the NDC delegates in Fanteakwa North district are drunkers.
”We are recruiting, sponsoring some delegates and parliamentary candidates of the NDC just to limit the reputation of the party,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bryan Acheampong on Saturday during the NPP’s Mega Arise & Build Unity Walk at Kwahu-Mpraeso said that the NPP will not hand over power to the NDC in the 2024 elections.
Bryan Acheampong further said in his statement that the NPP will use every means to retain power.
But many Ghanaians were saying that Bryan Acheampong’s comment is tantamount to coup d’etat.
