Nana Kwame Nnuro Agyepong II, Chief of Nyamekrom in the New Juaben Koforidua Traditional Area has donated items worth several thousands of Ghana cedis to the Watch Dog and Development Committee of Nyamekrom electoral area.
The items donated consisted of street lights and bulbs, one motor bike and recreational items such as ludo and draughts.
The Nkosuohene of the community in following suit also donated a mower to the Committee.
Presenting the items to the Committee last week, Nana Nnuro commended the work rate and attitude of the unit Committee members.

The Chief said the Committee needed support to make its work easier and hence the donation.
He also commended the Omanhene for the Traditional Area for seeing to the development of towns under his jurisdiction.
Nana Nnuro thanked the newly elected Nkosuohene for his marvellous works in ensuring that development comes to Nyamekrom and urged others to emulate same.
He also commended the Police for ensuring that security was at top notch in the Nyamekrom communities.
“In terms of security and the development of Nyamekrom I am happy the Police is doing its part as well as the Omanhene, the nkosuohene and the unit Committee but we ask government to work on our roads which are in bad shape so that we can have a wholistic development of Nyamekrom”, the Chief appealed.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Unit Committee, Hon Enock Boateng thanked the Chief for the gesture.
He said the donation was timely since visibility in the town would be improved when the street lights are installed.
The Motor bike, he noted would improve mobility of members who would get to use it to attend emergencies and rounds.
“On behalf on Nyamekrom electoral area and the Unit Committee members I would want to thank our development oriented Chief, Nana Kwame Nnuro Agyepong II for this gesture and many other donations he has done previously and we pray that all of us does our part to ensure total development of Nyamekrom”, the Assemblyman stated to loud applause.
