Nzema East MCE Commissions Mechanized Borehole To Commemorate Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s Birthday

Hon. Dorcas Amoah, MCE for Nzema East Municipal in the Western region has commissioned a mechanized borehole for Nsein Health centre to mark Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s birthday celebration.

The commissioning of the project according to her would make the nurses at the health facility more productive since they would no longer spend time to go in search of water

Hon MCE expressed optimism that the boreholes would last long and would go a long way to ease water problems and also contribute to achieving the Millennium Sustainable Development Goals (SDFs).

She said many of the water facilities collapsed due to lack of proper management and called on the authorities of the centre to see to it that it was well-managed and maintained.

The Municipal Director of Health in Nzema East ,Joseph Kwame Sampson expressed gratitude to the MCE and the government for the support.

He said, the main challenges facing the health service in the Municipality is deplorable road network and dilapidated state of some health centres, therefore calling on the ministry of health as a matter of urgency to solve the situation.

For his part,the Paramount Chief of Nsein ,Awulae Agyefi Kwame II commended the Municipal Assembly for providing the health facility with potable drinking water.

He maintained that the communities he serves has a little change of which him and his team are ready to solve them with support from appreciate authorities.
