A significant milestone has been achieved in the Offinso North District as the District Assembly, led by Hon. Ceaser Ofosu Acheampong, has commissioned six boreholes in six communities, providing access to potable drinking water for residents.
This initiative is part of the Assembly’s efforts to fulfill its campaign promises and improve the lives of its constituents.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Ofosu Acheampong emphasized the Assembly’s commitment to developing the district through various infrastructure projects, including school buildings, hospitals, and sanitation facilities.

He noted that the provision of safe drinking water is a crucial aspect of the Assembly’s development agenda, aimed at improving the health and well-being of the people.
However, Hon. Acheampong highlighted the challenge of electricity expansion, particularly along the main road leading to the Northern part of Ghana, as a major obstacle to the district’s progress.
He appealed to the government and stakeholders to address this issue to facilitate economic growth and development.
Furthermore, the District Chief Executive called on the Ministry of Roads to assist in addressing the poor road network in the district, specifically highlighting the need for improvement on roads such as Afrancho to Chiraa, Asempanaye to Secko, and Kombiraso to Nkoranza. These roads serve as vital links for businesses and trade between the Offinso North District and neighboring regions and countries.
Hon. Ofosu Acheampong assured the people of his administration’s commitment to working tirelessly to address the developmental challenges facing the district, and urged residents to support the Assembly’s efforts in creating a better future for all.
The commissioning of the boreholes has been welcomed by the communities, who expressed gratitude to the Assembly for fulfilling its promise to improve their living conditions.
