Ghana supporters have received Otto Addo’s decision to quit with mixed reactions, with one section calling on Ayew brothers Jordan and Andre to follow suit.
The Black Stars failed to qualify for the Round of 16 at the 2022 Fifa World Cup finals in Qatar after losing 2-0 against Uruguay on Friday. Ghana had suffered a 3-2 defeat against Portugal in their Group H opener before defeating South Korea 3-2.
Against Uruguay, the Black Stars had the best chance to take the lead from the penalty spot but Andre Ayew saw his weak effort saved by the goalkeeper. After the game, Addo confirmed to the media he will leave the coaching role.
