The President of the National House of Chiefs, who doubles as the paramount chief of the Anhwiaso Traditional Area, has donated 200 mono desks to Bibiani Senior High School at a cost of Ghs 60,000.
Addressing the school management on 9th May 2025, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi ll described the gesture as a modest donation to mitigate inadequate furniture confronting the school as a result of increasing enrollment. Nana continued that the donation was made as part of his corporate social responsibility as a chief and the CEO of the Frankard Group of Companies.
Initially, the overlord of the land donated 100 desks at a cost of Ghs30,000. But after having a full grasp of the situation at hand and its gravity, he was compelled to add another 100, making 200 desks. He accepted the fact that 21st-century education is a shared responsibility for all stakeholders. He, therefore, promised to rope in other development partners to drive the development of the institution, especially stocking the GNPC Science and ICT Laboratory. The students were also admonished to take their studies seriously to come out with flying colours.
The Headmaster of the School, Mr. George Baidooh expressed appreciation to the paramount chief on behalf of the Board of Governors, Staff, Parents, and Students. He, however, promised to utilize the desks for the intended purposes and ensure their safety.
