The EKK Charity Foundation has donated GHS10,000 to support the hospital bills of Mary Yankson, a 42-year-old single mother battling breast cancer from Agona Kwanyako in the Agona Nsabaa District of the Central Region.
Mary has been fighting breast cancer for a year, struggling to provide for her two children while managing her health. The EKK Foundation’s generous donation will cover her hospital bills, bringing much-needed relief to the family.
At the presentation ceremony, Mr. Evans Kofi Kwafo, founder and leader of the EKK Foundation, promised to support Mary’s children, including their education, starting from January 23, 2025. He emphasized his commitment to helping the poor and needy, stating that this mission has driven him from the outset.
Mr. Kwafo pledged to continue supporting Mary until she recovers, and urged Ghanaians, particularly the well-to-do, to follow his example and give back to society to improve people’s lives.
Mary Yankson expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the EKK Foundation, praying for God’s protection and strength for their humanitarian work. Her mother, Yaa Afriyie, also thanked Mr. Kwafo and the foundation, appealing to other NGOs and individuals to support Mary’s medical bills and her grandchildren’s needs.
This charitable gesture by the EKK Foundation has brought hope and relief to Mary and her family, demonstrating the power of kindness and community support.
