Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, founder of Glorious Wave Church International, has sparked widespread public discussion after releasing a prophecy concerning the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer race ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In a viral TikTok video circulating on social media, the outspoken preacher claimed that Chief of Staff Julius Debrah is destined to emerge as the NDC’s presidential candidate for the 2028 elections. According to Prophet Badu Kobi, the revelation was shown to him spiritually as far back as March 2025.
The prophecy has generated intense debate among political observers and supporters of the NDC, especially as several high-profile figures within the party are already being tipped as possible contenders for the flagbearer position.
Clarifying his statement, Prophet Badu Kobi noted that the prophecy should not be interpreted as opposition to other prominent names believed to be eyeing the race.
He specifically mentioned NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson, and former Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu as respected personalities also associated with discussions surrounding the party’s future leadership.
