The citizens of Amanfi Central are calling on administrators of all social media platforms to remove Mr. Peter Kwakye-Ackah, an independent candidate and former Member of Parliament for the constituency under the National Democratic Congress (NDC), from NDC-related groups and pages.

Mr. Kwakye-Ackah, who once represented Amanfi Central in Parliament as an NDC member, has now declared himself an independent candidate after losing the NDC parliamentary primaries held a few months ago. The citizens assert that by doing so, he no longer aligns with the values and beliefs of the NDC party.

“We, the citizens of Amanfi Central, feel that we currently lack representation in Parliament as our former MP, who once stood for the NDC, has decided to run as an independent candidate. His actions are seen as ungrateful and misleading,” the citizens expressed.

The citizens further emphasized that it is disrespectful for Mr. Kwakye-Ackah to continue using NDC platforms while claiming to be part of the party. They believe that his continued presence on these platforms may mislead voters, as he no longer represents the NDC.

By removing Mr. Kwakye-Ackah from NDC social media groups and pages, the citizens hope to send a clear message that the NDC does not endorse or support his independent candidacy. “We appeal to all social media platform administrators to take immediate action to remove him from any NDC-related platforms. This is vital to maintaining the integrity of our democracy and ensuring that only those who align with the values and principles of the NDC represent the party,” they stated.

The citizens of Amanfi Central stand firmly behind the NDC’s decision and are urging swift action to preserve the credibility of the party’s online presence and public representation.
