A political activist and a Research fellow Dr Smart Sarpong has
supported the Majority in Parliament call to sack the Finance Minister, Mr.Ken Ofori_ Atta.
Over 80 NPP members of parliament who are demanding the removal of the finance minister
blames him for the current economic situation and they
are confident that the economy will stabilized especially the exchange rate when a new face is appointed by the government.
Dr Smart Sarpong reacting to the call of the majority indicated that the demand of the MPs is a step in right direction for the wellbeing of Ghanaians.
Dr Smart Sarpong underscored that every finance minister is obliged to find solution to economic problems but since the economy crisis Hon Ken Ofori Atta has proven his incompetence to the nation building so a new finance minister must be appointed.
Dr. Smart Sarpong mentioned that breaking the eight is well respected, but for the sake of the welfare of Ghanaians, service to the nation should not include personal interest .
He appealed to the government to keep changing finance Ministers till the economy become stable.
