The Executives and entire Npp fraternity in the Old Tafo Constituency in the Ashanti Region are appealing to the president of the republic,Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo to retain Hon.Fred Obeng Wusu as the Municipal Chief Executive for the area.
They are however endorsing him and formally appealing to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo for the renomination of the current Chief Executive of Old Tafo municipality.
This was stated in a letter prepared and signed by Constituency Executives and Electoral area Coordinators to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party and also copied the Regional Minister.
The letter reads as follows; Hon Fred Obeng Owusu is an effective leader, His superb performance during his 2 year reign in office as Municipal Chief Executive has brought massive development to the newly created Old Tafo Pankrono Municipality.
“We trust and believe in the leadership of Hon. Fred Obeng Owusu to deliver, He is endowed with knowledge, experience and competent administrative skills to lead Old Tafo Municipal Assembly, to create wealth, ensure peace and fulfil President’s agenda of prosperity for every citizen in freedom” They noted.
They further stated that Hon. Fred has not only been instrumental in leading and advocating for projects and programmes that have bestowed hope to the indigenous and residents in the Municipality but He has also been helpful in the issues affecting the party and His good terms with the Executives has brought unity to the patriots.
The Executives added that the annual benevolence of the MCE has improved and brought smiles in the faces of the Poor, Widows, Orphans and Persons with Physically Challenged in the Municipality.
However, they craved the indulgence of the Regional Chairman to appeal to the high office of the President His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo with his good heart, to renominate Hon Fred Obeng Owusu as MCE for Old Tafo and the Chiefs, Opinion Leaders and the general Constituents of Old Tafo Pankrono will forever be grateful to him.
