The meeting presided over by the Presiding Member of the Assembly, Hon. Ofori Fareed gave the District Budget Analyst the space to walk the General Assembly through the various programmes and projects  that the Assembly has embarked upon and the impact it is having on the people in the district.
Health, Education, Agriculture, Tourism etc were extensively touched on.
Job creation was at the centre of the 2023 budget and the Annual Action Plan.
On their fees and rates ,there was no significant increases in the rateable items taking into consideration the current global economic situation.
The District Chief Executive, Samuel Addai Agyekum called on the citizens both in  abroad and home to take interest in investing in Affordable Housing since the numerous projects undertaken by the President of the Republic, Nana Akufo Addo in the areas of education, health, industrialization are and will bring a lot of people into the district. We are challenged with housing deficit such we struggle to even get accommodation to our staff who are posted into the district.
Soon the Kumawu District Hospital that was abandoned by Mahama and his NDC would be completed by President Nana Addo and it is estimated that about 700 personnel would be working there.
Though the project has made provision for staff accommodation all cannot be absorbed in there. There is therefore the need for investors to take advantage of the situation to invest in housing.
Land would be made available for anyone ready to invest in the Affordable housing scheme as Nananom are willing to release land to support this very important enterprise.
He assured the house that He (Nana Akufo Addo) who recommenced the construction of Kumawu District Hospital when it was abandoned by Mahama in August 2016 shall be  completed and commissioned before 2023 ends.
“Have faith that our main road from Effiduase to Kumawu -Woraso shall receive attention as the President is aware of it deplorable nature. “He reassured.
“I thank you for peace we are keeping in the District. And I commend the District police Commander and his men and women for their dedication to duty. Let us support them to deliver effective service to the people of Sekyere Kumawu.
We thank the Ministry for Local Government ,Decentralization and Rural Development for making the district part of the World Bank Safety Net programme.
It is our hope that work on  our District Assembly Block will resume soon as the ministry has terminated the contract and reward it to a different contractor.
Let us work together as a team as you have demonstrated to achieve the established objectives of the District.”He concluded.
