The State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) has issued a strong public disclaimer distancing itself from the upcoming 10th Ghana CEO Summit & Expo, stating that it has neither authorised nor entered into any formal partnership with CEO Network Ghana, also known as Chief Executives Network Ghana.
According to the Authority, promotional materials circulating ahead of the summit have inaccurately presented SIGA as a “collaborating partner” for the event. SIGA described the representation as “unauthorised and misleading,” stressing that no agreement or formal relationship exists between the Authority and the event organisers.
In a public notice released on Thursday, SIGA disclosed that it had formally objected to the use of its institutional identity, including its name and logo, and requested the immediate removal of all references linking the Authority to the event. However, the organisers are said to have failed to comply with the request, prompting SIGA to publicly clarify its position.
The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, institutional integrity, and due process in all official engagements, in accordance with the provisions of the State Interests and Governance Authority Act, 2019 (Act 990).
SIGA further explained that any use of its corporate identity in connection with external programmes, partnerships, or public events must receive formal approval and be backed by a documented agreement. It emphasised that no such approval or agreement exists in relation to the 10th Ghana CEO Summit & Expo.
The Authority has therefore advised the general public, prospective sponsors, exhibitors, and participants not to interpret the appearance of SIGA’s name or logo in promotional campaigns as an endorsement, affiliation, or official partnership with the event.
Additionally, SIGA called on media organisations and broadcasting platforms to take note of the disclaimer and refrain from portraying the Authority as a collaborating institution in any advertisement or promotional publication linked to the summit.
The Authority reiterated its dedication to supporting Ghana’s economic development agenda through transparent and properly constituted institutional partnerships.
